Thermaltake @ Computex 2023

Thermaltake always has one of the biggest booths here at Computex and 2023 is absolutely no exception, with what looks to be hundreds of products and around 50 Thermaltake staff from around the world on hand to talk us through it all! However, there were a few star products for 2023 that really grabbed our attention, such as their new Tower 200.

The old model proved a big hit for Thermaltake, but users were using the tiny mini-ITX tower to cram in some seriously high-end hardware, and it apparently got a little too warm in there. TT has designed the new one to be a little bit bigger, so it’ll handle some of the RTX 4090 class cards now.

However, it also has much-improved airflow, favoring more mesh than glass this time, so it can handle the higher TDP hardware without issue. Furthermore, it’ll now hold a 280mm radiator on the side, so you can get big cooling performance on many of the latest CPUs too.

Plus the new colour options include a lighter green that Andy doesn’t like, but I do, and I guess that’s the point, more choice for more people is always great to see, and I think it’s more interesting that simply slapping RGB on it and calling it colorful.

Next up, we have the Thermaltake Ceres 300 TG, and this is a fantastic-looking case, which comes with support for a 360mm or 280mm AIO at the front, and another 280mm radiator at the top. Furthermore, it comes pre-installed with two CT140 ARGB fans in the front and one non-RGB model in the back.

As you can see, it also supports the optional LCD display that TT is rolling out on a few of their models now, however, at $100, the display does cost as much as the case itself, so a bit on the expensive side, but it is pretty cool.

The one we want, however, is the Ceres 500 TG ARGB TUF Version, which supports the TUF motherboards that have hidden connectors, where the PSU and other headers are on the back of the motherboard! It also comes with 420mm AIO support in the front and 360mm in the top, but also four CT 140 ARGB Sync fans pre-installed, so it’s by far the most premium version of this case.

It’s not the only motherboard/case partnership this year, but it seems each big brand is doing something with rear connectors, and I have to say, the results are damn impressive. These are some very clean-looking builds.

There’s even a cut-out for the M.2, SATA, USB headers, and fan headers!

Amazingly, this is what a fully wired-up motherboard looks like from the front. Now that is impressive! Albeit, I’ll admit it does look strange too.

TT isn’t quite as innovative in their AIO section, but honestly, it all looks great, with the usual evolutions to newer fans and revised pump designs to keep things fresh for the coming year. Such as the TH V2 which features a rotatable pump cap, infinity mirror RGB, and CT120 ARGB Sync fans.

IF you need something much larger, they now also make a massive TH420 ARGB Sync model, which is going to be great for those needing to cool CPUs that have heavy workloads.

There’s also a TH V2 ARGB (bottom right), which feature RGB in the frame of the fan for added effect.

Finally, there’s the Ultra, the same as the above coolers, but this comes with a 2.1″ LCD on the pump, with JPG, GIF, MP4, AVI, MOV and PNG support.

Thermaltake is well known for having some really great quality fittings, and now they’re expanding their custom loop range yet again. Such as these new radiators, which aren’t the final design, but the intention is to have removable sides that can be more easily customized.

The new Pacific SF Fittings feature rotatable knobs, and their unique knurling design too, making them very easy to work with. There are now silver black, matte black and a semi-matte white colour options too, all of which look absolutely stunning.

The adaptors come in 16mm OD compression, 90 / 45 / 90 & 45-degree options, and the extenders are male to male 20 / 30mm, female to male 20 / 30mm, and female to female 20 / 30mm.
