Thermaltake Core G21 Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Interior

With the side panel removed, you can see there’s quite a lot of space inside this chassis. Those using extra-long high-end graphics cards will not be left wanting for space. Of course, there’s still going to be room up front for a thicker radiator too. There’s a large cutout behind the motherboard, which will ease the installation of a CPU cooler mount. Finally, there’s also a large vertical cutout and two staggered back plates to help with cable routing.

Up top, you’ll find an exposed 120/140mm fan mount. Don’t worry, there’s an add-on dust filter for this should you need it too.

In the rear of the chassis, the pre-installed 120mm fan. Of course, you could easily remove it and use your own or even a 120mm radiator if desired.

PSU Shroud

Storage options are good too, with two dedicated 2.5″ drive mounts on the PSU cover. This is great for showing off your best SSDs and adds to the overall aesthetics of your build.

The PSU cover is not full length on the top, with a huge cutaway. While this looks strange, it means you can get a thicker radiator that will be able to use the full height of the front panel.

There’s a mesh dust filter in the front panel, so airflow should be nice and clear. There’s actually enough ventilation for passive airflow, although those with high-end hardware will no doubt want to add fans or radiators anyway.

Things look neat and tidy behind the motherboard tray too. There are two HDD mounts on the front vertical section. They’ll support either 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives, and that means you’ll see them on show from the right side window panel.
