Thermaltake were kind enough to provide the PSU and air cooler for our built. It looks pretty great too, with the Riing RGB fan on the cooler and the RGB lighting in the PSU providing some focal points for this extremely exposed interior design.
In fact, any hardware you install is going to be very much on display, after all, that is the point of this chassis. Mounted on a wall, it would be like having a PC in a picture frame. On the desktop, it’s more of a presentation case design, and I do think that’ll pay off for extremely custom builds where aesthetics are key.
Cable routing above the motherboard could be better, with a few more holes maybe. However, it’s sufficient enough and can be made cleaner with better cables. Most of these are shorter cables on the cooler, rather than a fault of the chassis.
The GPU mounting bracket looks amazing. So often your GPU is facing down and hiding its lovely cooler design. You can do that here, or you can add this bracket and turn it to show it all off. The choice is really up to you here.
The PSU bracket also allows you to show off your PSU. RGB PSUs are pretty daft, but in the TG they work really well for expanding on the visuals of this chassis. You can mount a larger size PSU too, as the rear brace is movable to provide the correct mount per the PSU length.
The riser cable hides nicely behind the GPU between it and the motherboard. You absolutely do need this cable for the GPU to be installed in this way. Otherwise, you can just plug a GPU directly into the motherboard.
This looks a bit messy, but it would otherwise not be seen much dependant on how you place the chassis. However, there are motherboards with a built-in rear I/O guard that may be a better choice for you.
The thick metal poles are very robust and will hold the glass with confidence. There’s some option feet, which we installed, as well as two stoppers at the front to help prevent the chassis tipping. It didn’t feel unstable without them, but they do add peace of mind.
For those going for air cooling systems like we did, the P5 is epic. The airflow is as plentiful as your room can provide. Of course, if you’re rocking a huge radiator there, sticking on some RGB fans will provide a real show stopper of a build.
