Normally when you buy a chassis, you open the box, fit your components, and you’re ready to rock. I would say it takes me about twenty minutes to put together a nice system for a chassis review. However, this time around, it took me a few hours, yikes. Of course, that’s because you have to build the P90 yourself from a box full of components, but that’s half the fun!
There are eight of these incredibly heavy posts. These mount to the chassis body to provide mounts for the tempered glass.
A box protects all the peripheral components, and wow, there are a lot of them.
Everything came carefully bagged, each with their own fitting screws as required.
There are brackets for seemingly every conceivable hardware configuration here. It’s unlikely you’ll need everything in the box. However, with plenty of modular hard drive bays, cooling mounts, and more, you shouldn’t be left wanting for more.
All the components are of a very high standard. The rear expansion slot covers are all chunky and nicely painted. Of course, they’re all reusable covers too, none of those nasty snap-off ones here.
The PSU mount, which also comes with a support bracket for the rear of the PSU. Of course, that will come in handy depending on the orientation of the chassis, as you don’t want a PSU falling off the wall.
Some optional rubber feet. These feet are perfect for those leaving the chassis horizontal.
One of the removable (or should I say installable) 2.5″ hard drive bays.
These are neat, two freaking huge and heavy duty feet. If you’re standing the chassis in its vertical position, you’ll want it to be nice and stable. With all that glass, it’s sure to be front heavy, and these will help keep things vertical.
Speaking of glass, you’ll find two massive slabs of the stuff in the box. It comes carefully protected with plastic on both sides and thick foam between them. We’ll leave them like this until we need them, no point exposing them yet!
Finally, yes, we’re almost done with the list of small components, you’ll find a riser cable. This cable is awesome, as it lets you mount your GPU on its side to show it off, and it’s not a cheap bit of kit, so I’m happy to see one included in the box.
