Thermaltake Core X31 Tempered Glass Edition Announced

Thermaltake Core X31 Tempered Glass Edition Announced

Thermaltake are ready to join the tempered glass club with the upcoming release of their Core X31 refresh, the X31 Tempered Glass Edition. The chassis hasn’t changed much from the original release, which we actually reviewed just two months ago, and you can check that out here.

The huge acrylic side panel has been removed, and now features a massive piece of glass in its place. Give the X31 was already a pretty massive chassis, and already pretty darn heavy, we can only imagine that adding so much glass to it will make it a bit of a backbreaker to move around, but in terms of aesthetics, it’ll turn a great looking chassis into something truly special.

As we said, this is still pretty much the same chassis, so you’ll sill get support for 200mm fans in the top and front, an extra-wide design that offers up space for even the biggest air and water coolers on the market, a huge amount of flexible storage bays, and so much more. Just check out the spec sheet below (taken from our non-glass edition review).

Thermaltake hasn’t revealed the price of the upgraded model ,but we can expect it to be a little more than the current MSRP of $130. Hopefully we’ll also see them offer the panel separately for those who already purchased the original Core X31.
