Thermaltake CT Fans Upgraded With MagForce 2.0 Connections

Thermaltake has just revealed its latest fans, the CT120/140 EX ARGB Sync PC Cooling Fan (3-Fan Pack). Now, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ve already seen the top-end non-RGB version of these fans in our recent review of their latest flagship AIO cooler. However, they’re now also available separately so you can add them to your own cases, coolers, radiators or whatever. Furthermore, these ones are the EX ARGB, and also come with nine addressable ARGB LEDs in each fan for some additional visual customisation.

Using a quick magnetic connection system, these fans are extremely easy to deploy. The CT EX is a new addition with the advanced MagForce 2.0, using more robust magnets and connectors than previous models. Simply push the fans close to each other, and they’ll snap together to form a chain without the use of cables. There are no hard-wired cables on the fans either, but the cable connectors are magnetic too, and you simply snap one to the side of a single fan and all the other fans that are magnetically connected will operate from the one cable, making for easy cable routing.

Features

  • Steady Connection with MagForce 2.0 – Evolved from SWAFAN EX’s Magnetic Force Design, the new MagForce 2.0 has the Pogo pin contact pads are TWO times larger for greater tolerance. This enhancement significantly reduces the potential faulty alignment no matter you are daisy-chaining fans together or connecting fans with cable, further boosting the installation efficiency and streamlining the building experience.
  • Say Goodbye to Excessive Cables – Connect your fans with CT EX’s MagForce 2.0 Quick Connect Design and be free from messy cables!
  • Remarkably Improved Performance – After extensive research and testing, the CT120 EX ARGB Sync can generate 68 CFM of airflow and 2.95 mm-H2O static pressure while maintaining a 28.5 dBA noise level; the CT140 EX ARGB Sync can generate 90.3 CFM of airflow and 3.07 mm-H2O static pressure while maintaining a 30.7 dBA noise level, pushing ARGB fans to their limits.
  • Solid Structure for Better Performance – The new CT Series fan frames are crafted to be steady and robust so the fan won’t deform easily. We have also modified the exterior design to allow the fans to fit the chassis or radiator even better, so there won’t be gaps for air to slip through.
  • A little Surprise for Extra Security – CT Series Fans are equipped with four round undetachable anti-vibration rubber pads on each of the fan’s corners. They are designed to be stable and dampen the fan’s vibration, allowing the fans to spin at a higher speed under certain noise levels.
  • Spectacular Lighting Effects – Featuring 9 addressable LEDs for users to build up spectacular lighting effects through motherboard sync software, providing great coverage of 16.8 million uniform colors. You can create stunning lighting effects through your motherboard software to customize your ideal lighting effects. The CT Series ARGB Fans now support ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, BIOSTAR, and ASROCK sync software.
  • Sync with Motherboard RGB Software – Designed to synchronize with ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome. It supports motherboards with a 5V addressable RGB header, allowing you to control the lights directly from the software mentioned above without installing any extra lighting software or controllers. Airflow

In contrast with previous CT series models, the CT EX significantly enhances cooling performance. The CT120 EX ARGB Sync can generate 68 CFM of airflow and 2.95 mm H₂O static pressure while keeping a 28.5 dBA noise level; the CT140 EX ARGB Sync can reach 90.3 CFM of airflow and 3.07 mm H₂O static pressure while maintaining a 30.7 dBA noise level, maximizing the performance of ARGB fans.

Durable Build Quality

These CT EX fans come with a robust fan frame and new exterior design, to ensure stable fan operation and avoid air leakage, guaranteeing a perfect fit for either chassis or radiators. Furthermore, the anti-vibration rubber pads on the CT EX corners can minimize vibration, allowing the fans to spin at higher speeds with low noise levels.

ARGB

Moreover, the CT EX includes 9 addressable LEDs, and it supports 5 V motherboard lighting software. Therefore, users can easily customize the glorious lighting effects with 16.8 million colours through motherboard software without installing any extra lighting software or controllers. The CT EX is an ideal PC cooling fan that meets both performance and aesthetic needs.
