Thermaltake CT120 EX ARGB Sync Fans Review

There’s no shortage of great quality fans these days, with every big name brand having a very competitive product in terms of aesthetics and performance. However, it’s fair to say that Thermaltake has proven to be one of the absolute best. Their SWAFAN series has already proven popular, but the MagForce technology they used for easy cable routing has evolved into MagForce 2.0 and now shows up in other fan series, such as the CT120 EX ARGB (also available as a 140mm version) that I’m reviewing today.

These have a magnetic contact surface that’s two times larger for grater stability and protection. The fans can now also be daisy chained, with only one fan in the chain needing a magnetic cable connector, rather than all of them. What’s even cooler is that these fans are now available in a standard configuration or a reverse blade configuration, giving them a more appealing aesthetic in your case so you can always see the ARGB lighting regardless of which airflow direction you require. However, these aren’t reversable or changeable blades like on their flagship models, so you need to purchase normal or reverse fans are per your requirements.

What Thermaltake Had to Say

After extensive research and testing, the CT120 EX ARGB Sync can generate 68 CFM of airflow and 2.95 mm-H2O static pressure while maintaining a 28.5 dBA noise level, pushing ARGB fans to their limits. Featuring 9 addressable LEDs for users to build up spectacular lighting effects through motherboard sync software, providing great coverage of 16.8 million uniform colours. You can create stunning lighting effects through your motherboard software to customize your ideal lighting effects. The CT Series ARGB Fans now support ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, BIOSTAR, and ASROCK sync software.
