Thermaltake CTE T500 Air Snow Full Tower Case Review

Complete System

Installing a system inside the CTE T500 was hilariously easy, it was like throwing hardware in and it just landed right, there’s so much space, nothing conflicted, rubs the sides or becomes hard to reach. Actually, it’s embarrassing to just install an ATX motherboard and a single GPU, because there’s just so much room left over!

In my infinite wisdom, I thought it would look great installing this lovely Sapphire RX 7900 XT, and it’s anti-sag bar. Unless it was planning on sagging to the left while hanging vertically, it’s useless, silly me! However, it does look stunning in there, no doubt about that!

I installed a new Thermaltake ToughPower GF3 ARGB 850W modular PSU (full review of that coming soon) and had plenty of room behind the PSU for connectors and cables. Plus, as you can see, there’s no really much to worry about with cables. That’s it, that’s the whole system connected, and it looks like I’ve done bugger all!

These Velcro straps are huge, and make light work of keeping everything neat and tidy.

And they’re absolutely everywhere, so it’s easy to keep it superbly tidy.

All cables now routed the system is complete, and doesn’t it look gorgeous!?

Yeah, I know the PSU can go the other way, but why waste that lovely ARGB lighting?

Obviously, there’s room to expand the cooling here, but I love that the front of the case gives direct airflow to the CPU cooler, while the rear fans blow right at the GPU cooler, giving you a much more optimal cooling solution.

Again though, the cable management is as good as it gets, so neat and tidy.

The clearance for all hardware is superb too, and large air coolers, large and thick radiators, custom loop and whatever else just aren’t going to be a problem here.

The length and width for expansion cards aren’t an issue here either, so any of the AMD range or even the largest RTX 4090s will fit without any issues at all.

Plus, when it comes to showing off your hardware, the tempered glass panel hides nothing. It is a truly awesome looking case, and if you want to show off your next build, I can’t think of much better to do it with!
