Thermaltake Engine 27 1U Low-Profile CPU Cooler Detailed

The new Thermaltake Engine 27 cooler is moving closer to a reality, as the company reveals more details of their Sandia-inspired cooler. The low-profile CPU cooler implements a heatsink-impeller design, where the metal heatsink base makes contact with the CPU, as any CPU cooler should, but on top of that, you’ll find a motorized fan-shaped heatsink. The heatsink spins on an axle and conductive lubricant, helping it move more heat that a static cooler with a fan attached by combining the two into one design.

The baseplate features an aluminium channel heatsink design, allowing the airflow leaving the cooler to take even more heat with it, further improving the coolers capabilities.

The Engine 27 cooler stands just 27mm tall, allowing it to meet the 1U specifications, claiming acoustic figures of just 13-25dBa with an operation speed of just 1500-2500 RPM. It comes with support for LGA115X sockets, LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA1151/LGA1150, and uses a single 4-pin PWM power connector.

Unfortunately, we’ve no information on pricing yet, but we’ll update you as soon as we know more.
