Thermaltake Frio Advanced CPU Cooler Review

Thermaltake’s standard picture of the cooler itself is located on the front of the box along with some key features such as the 5 6mm heatpipes and pair of 13cm fans.

Detailed features are located on the rear of the box which coincide with multiple pictures outlining the specific features mentioned.

General specifications including the weight are kept for the side of the box so that a potential buyer can easily view the cooler’s primary specifications.

Thermaltake provide 2 installation guides, 1 each for Intel or AMD users.

The universal backplate is comprised of a sturdy material which resembles a thick plastic whereas the rest of the mounting hardware is solid metal. Slightly different hold-down brackets are used dependent upon whether you use an AMD or Intel platform. A small tube of thermal paste should suffice for a handful of re-installations. One very disappointing factor about the bundle is the fact that a 4-pin PWM CPU fan splitter isn’t included meaning that your fans will be controlled by different headers and settings instead of both fans being controlled by your motherboard’s PWM header and its accompanied settings.
