Thermaltake ToughPower GF3 1350W Power Supply Review

Efficiency
Although the Thermaltake ToughPower GF3 is officially rated to an 80-Plus Gold efficiency standard, our testing found that the results in this regard were actually much closer to the higher Platinum tier. While not quite making those heights, however, what we can say for certain is that this undoubtedly qualified for the Gold rating and by an exceptionally high margin too!
PFC (Power Factor Correction)
The PFC rating maintained exceptionally high throughout our testing. Although the result did dip a little at 20% load, this is entirely normal for practically all power supply designs and, overall, this one again indicates that the Thermaltake ToughPower GF3 has an exceptionally good design.
Voltage Regulation
While the individual results were a little more varied than we might usually expect, when you look at the total average deviancy, the voltage regulation test makes for a very impressive reading indeed. A particular highlight was the +12V rail (arguably the most important in a PSU) which held an overall average deviancy of only circa 0.5%.
