In previous times (approx. 2009), Thermaltake debuted its Level 10 Chassis which has to be said, was quite futuristic for its time. However, not knocking Thermaltake too much, it did have a few problems. It possessed for instance, impractical dimensions as well as run of the mill cooling performance. This coupled with a hefty price tag of £500 meant the interest in it soon dwindled.
Thermaltake are now back with vengeance, or at least with regards to the Level 10 Chassis, they have just brought out the Level 10 GT Chassis. The Level 10 GT is based on its predecessor and is co-created by BMW, except this time they have done everything they can to address the faults with the standard Level 10 Chassis.
This streamlined GT version of the chassis now weighs 8.7kg less, and will support a much larger variety of motherboard form factors. It has space for, four 5.25 drives, an external 3.5 drive and five internal hot-swappable 3.5 or 2.5 drives. It has also been designed with the cabling included for a top-mounted radiator which shows that Thermaltake have taken a lot more into consideration this time.
What was a very average cooling system, has been improved drastically with a 200mm front intake fan, a 140mm rear exhaust fan, a 200mm top exhaust fan and a 200mm side fan. A few other features include a windowed side panel to show your components off as well as USB 3.0 on the top I/O panel.
Hopefully more details will be released soon of price and availability, but in the meantime take a look at the YouTube promo clip and see the case in all of its glory.
