Thermaltake Intros GR500 Racing Simulator Cockpit

Initially debuted at CES2024, Thermaltake has officially Introduced its GR500 Racing Simulator Cockpit which will allow you to take your sim racing rig to the next level with a sturdy adjustable frame, racing bucket seat, and a bit of RGB lighting.

Thermaltake GR500 Racing Simulator Cockpit

The GR500 is Thermaltake’s latest premium product which is aimed at those who want a proper sim racing experience and those that actually have room for one, I’ve barely got room for the fold-up stand I’ve got now. It’s frame is constructed from a sturdy aluminium profile and steel structure which offers superior rigidity and stability. It features mounts for the steering wheel, pedals and a gear shifter all of which are adjustable for your individual preferences.

Opposite the wheel mounts, is the racing-like fiberglass bucket seat which also offers forwards and back adjustability of 220mm with a smooth glide to ensure the most comfortable position during long sessions. Furthermore the seat can also be adjusted up and down within 30mm and its angle adjusted between +6 and -6 degrees. Completing it all is the RGB lighting which adorns the bottom of the stand for a bit of “gamer” flair. This RGB strip features two modes, normal and rhythm pickup mode alongside 20 different lighting effect settings.

The cockpit has a high level of compatibility including support for the likes of Logitech, Fanatec and Thrustmaster, a full list of compatible products is available on the product page. I’d imagine you’d have luck with any major sim racing manufacturer that isn’t listed as well.

Where Can I Learn More?

I wish I could have a bit of kit like this, but I really don’t have the room for it. Thermaltake haven’t shared any official pricing yet, but back at CES it was said to cost around $799 (Via TomsHardware). If you would like to learn more be sure to visit the product page.
