Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Chassis Review

The Level 10 GT’s striking design is extremely eye-catching and is sure to turn a few heads. A perfect balance between black and white has been achieved by Thermaltake which makes this, in our opinion, one of the most aesthetically appealing cases available. This case is of course an acquired taste, but we don’t know too many people who have complained about its style.

A black ventilated mesh panel covers the top 200m (or 240mm radiator) location, ensuring that dust is going to have a hard time when trying to ruin the looks of this beauty.

A blue light strip spans the majority of the conveniently placed carry handle which is excellent for those of us who enjoy a subtle light show on our cases.

Towards the front of the case’s top, neighbouring another ventilated mesh cover, we see 1 of the 2 front panel connector locations. This particular location features a pair of USB 3.0 ports running from an internal USB 3.0 header, an eSATA port, fan LED button and a fan control switch allowing you to choose between high or low case fan speed.

On the face of the case we see 4 5.25” bays, a 3.5” external bay and a locking mechanism allowing you to safely conceal your 3.5” internal drives at a LAN event for example. Neighbouring the external expansion bays is the other front panel connector location which consists of 4 USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone jack, HDD LED, reset button and power button. A silver Thermaltake logo also makes an appearance.

The lower part of the case’s face panel (yes, it is that tall) consists of a ventilated mesh cover and attractive groove design which conceals the internal location of up to 5 3.5/2.5” drives. The buttons numbered 1 to 5 work in conjunction with the locking mechanism allowing a user to swiftly remove any drive after pushing its specific release button.

A huge 200mm Thermaltake ‘ColorShift’ LED fan is located on the left side panel, beneath the acrylic window and behind an easily removable dust filter.

The perfectly positioned mount for Thermaltake’s included headset hanger is exceptionally convenient for anybody who regularly uses their headset. A white headset should fit the case’s aesthetic theme superbly.

Thermaltake have cleverly embossed their ‘T’ logo on the case’s right side panel which has the additional benefit of supplying some extra cable management room. The Level 10 GT logo and its “driving inspiration” motto are present in the bottom right corner.

A relatively standard affair is observed at the case’s rear. 3 grommets are present for external water cooling tubes along with 2 security locks which secures the keyboard or mouse to the case via their cables. A 120/140mm fan location as well as added airflow cut-outs ensure that hot air can easily escape. The 8 PCI expansion slots are a welcomed deviation from the norm of 7, but their design which puts them flush with the rear metal rather than being recessed into the case could prove tricky for PCI card installation.

The underneath of the Level 10 GT Snow Edition consists of 4 90 degree rotatable feet with rubber strips for floor grip and a large dust filter which ensures your internal components and power supply will remain as clean as possible.
