So there we have it the Level 10 GTS from Thermaltake, who already have a stunning range of white cases like this one, especially the more expensive Level 10 GT Show Edition and more budget friendly Commander MS-I Snow Edition which puts this case as the middle of the three.
First off I have to admit the style of this thing is fantastic, the finish on the case is brimming with quality, there are no rattles to the fittings, every aspect of this case has been given a little bit of style and tweaking to make it really stand out, from the drive locking mechanisms, the quick release bays and especially the front panel, so a big win on style for the GTS.
The only downside I can see is the case could have been slightly wider, trying to accommodate the cooler in this case was an absolute nightmare, but I’m not going to mark it down for this since the 920 water cooler sports an absolute monster of a radiator, therefore you shouldn’t have any trouble with most water cooling solutions or even a heat sink with a 140mm fan should have plenty of room to breathe in this chassis.
Thanks to the excellent cable management I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to fill every drive bay in this chassis and still be able to keep things as clean and tidy as we have and still leave your self room for one or more of the larger graphics cards currently on the market.
With the amount of extra slots for installing additional cooling solutions and extra fans the airflow in this case is superb, even with just the standard fans installed there is plenty of airflow, again helped by the generous cable management keeping everything neatly out of the way.
The build process on this case was an absolute breeze, because of its tool-free design, ample space, cable management and rear cutaway from the CPU cooler, I was able to get everything looking smart in record time, with the extra addition of the quick release drive bays making it possible to perform a very quick upgrade and change to your system and all this adds up as a major plus, this chassis is very user friendly when it comes to installations.
So overall then I am very pleased with this case, quick installation was a major plus for me, I was able to strip every component out of the system when I was done even quicker without breaking a sweat and of course without breaking any components. The styling is superb, both pre-installation and after fitting everything required, I would have loved to see a side window on this case though, with so much detail going into the internal design it seems a shame to lock it all away once you have a complete system, but at least everything looks clean and tidy from the outside.
Priced at around £80 this is a great alternative for those that can’t afford to stretch to its bigger brother the Level 10 GT Snow Edition, with all the features you could need to build a very sturdy gaming rig, with excellent cooling solutions and making no compromise on style, which is why I’m happy to award the Thermaltake Level 10 GTS our “Bang For Buck Award”,
