Thermaltake Level 20 GT RGB Plus Full-Tower Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Interior

One of the cool things about this chassis is the side panels. Once you unlock them, they open outwards like a door. However, they’re removable too, just lift it off the hinge once it’s open, and put it to one side! Either way, you have easy access to that massive interior and that’ll make building and maintaining your system a much easier task.

In the bottom of the chassis, there is an awful lot going on. Firstly, you have a half-length PSU shroud. However, given the size of the chassis, half-length is still pretty darn long. It also features a perspex window, allowing you to show off the PSU, while still hiding all of your cables. On top of it, there’s ventilation, as well as a vertical GPU bracket for those who wish to use riser cables (not included). If that wasn’t enough, there’s even a 2.5″ drive mount here, as well as some cable routing for the motherboard.

The front half features even more ventilation along the base of the chassis, as well as a mount that can be used for water cooling hardware.

Modular Storage

Above that, a fully removable and movable HDD unit, which is split into 2 x 2 3.5″ tool-free trays.

Since this is the RGB Plus version of the chassis, it comes with two of the Thermaltake 200mm RGB fans in the front. That’s a huge amount of lighting and airflow, and with a chassis this big, they’re certainly needed. Of course, the front panel also supports 120 and 140mm configurations for fans and radiators too should you chose them.

There’s a bank of universal mounts on the rear panel too, allowing you to mount all kinds of hardware. For those using custom loop hardware, this is perfect for reservoir brackets and other hardware.

Towards the rear, another RGB fan is pre-installed, giving us three fans in total. Again, these are only on the RGB Plus version, as the stock version comes with no fans should you wish to use your own.

Dual Windows/Doors

Behind the motherboard, there’s a vast amount of space for cable routing and additional storage devices too.

There are two of these removable mounting plates, offering support for both 2.5″ and 3.5″ drives behind the motherboard. These are perfect for extra storage, of those builds that remove the front HDD bays.

Cable routing grommets are located around the motherboard, keeping things neat and tidy. Of course, plenty of excess cables can be hidden under the PSU shroud also. With that window panel on the right, keeping good cable management is essential.

A third storage mounting plate is located directly behind the motherboard, again offering support for 1 x 3.5″ or 2 x 2.5″ drives.

For sections that don’t need grommets, you’ll find large cut-outs for cable routing. However, they’re all tucked in places that aren’t immediately visible through the glass, so they’ll still look neat and tidy.
