Thermaltake Reveal New Urban S31 Chassis

Mid tower cases make up the vast majority of the PC chassis market but that doesn’t stop companies continuing to fight for this highly competitive space with new innovations. The new Urban S31 case from Thermaltake is a prime example of this. Compared to the normally rugged and gamer-style aesthetics of Thermaltake cases the Urban S31 sports a more classic and sophisticated appearance. This case has the flexibility of being offered with and without a side window depending on your particular needs.
Thermaltake have opted for a brushed aluminium finish and steel mesh front door panel. Behind the front panel is support for three 5.25″ drives and six 3.5″ drives. The I/O ports include dual USB 3.0, dual USB 2.0 and the usual Audio connections. A 3.5″/2.5″ docking bay for drives is also located at the top for hot-swapping. Only two 120mm fans come pre-installed in the system but there are spaces for up to 5 fans in total, so you can add three more if you so wish. All drive bays feature tool-less installation.
Motherboard sizes up to ATX are supported with a large CPU/motherboard cut-out area to allow for easier installation of CPU coolers. There is space for extra long graphics cards and rubber grommeted holes for improved cable management options. Thermaltake have stated more cases from the urban series will be introduced but for now the only new additions are the Urban S31 Classic and Urban S31 Windowed.
