If you’re looking for a small yet versatile PC case that can accommodate powerful new hardware as well as state-of-the-art cooling solutions, then you’ll probably want to have a look at the Core V1 Snow Mini ITX Chassis that was unveiled recently by Thermaltake. Like I said before, this case won’t take up too much space on your desk thanks to its mini ITX design, but it can definitely support a real beast of a system. Its interchangeable side panels can be switched accordingly in order to highlight the chosen liquid cooling solution or airflow system.
The chassis is divided into two primary segments, namely an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The upper part is reserved for the cooling solution while the lower part houses the PSU and the cables. The case’s mounting points can be used to install a wide selection of cooling systems, such as DIY/AIO liquid cooling or air cooling. At the front, there’s a pre-installed 200 mm fan complemented by a pair of 80 mm turbo fans at the rear.
Other highlights include dual USB 3.0 and HD audio connectors located on the side of the front panel next to the Power and Reset buttons. Users can install up to four data storage devices using the modular drive racks, as well as a tower CPU cooler with a maximum height of 140 mm. With a PSU of up to 180 mm, there’s still 80 mm of space available for cable management, which is more than decent for a mini ITX case.
