Packaging and Accessories
The front of the packaging for the Thermaltake Riing Duo is certainly more than a little eye-catching with a rainbow of colors to grab your attention. While the front lists all of the key features of this fan kits design, in (we should add) a nice and clear manner, we also get a nice solid image of one of the Riing Duo fans operating with all that RGB glory!
Exterior Packaging – Rear
The rear packaging goes into more specific details about the key components and functionality that this fan kit offers. While the information does border towards being cramped, you are told everything you could possibly want to know here about the Thermaltake Riing Duo including its specifications, features, and software functionality.
The Fans
As the Thermaltake Riing Duo is provided here as a kit, once you have opened the packaging you will find yourself provided with 3 of these amazing fans. Coming in black, they contrast fantastically against the off-white fan blades, and, in case you were wondering, this gets even better once the RGB lighting is switched on!
A closer look at one of the fans reveals a very sleek and visually appealing design. The cables (to attach them to your system) are sheaved in a strong durable plastic-like casing which should ensure total protection which also offering plenty of flexibility to fit them even into the tightest locations.
The fan itself is listed as a Thermaltake own designed TT-1225. A design that features a patented design of 18 LED rings supporting up to 16.8 million colors in the RGB spectrum. In terms of lighting, the Thermaltake Riing Duo offers, quite possibly, every color (and combination) imaginable!
A look at the side reveals the unique design which accounts for the ‘Duo’ naming this product carries. A separate and individually operational LED ring ensures that this fan blows all standard RGB alternatives out of the water!
Accessories
Out of the box, the accessories included with the Thermaltake Riing Duo fan kit are as follows:
- Motherboard ARGB connector
- Molex power adaptor (for those of you without ARGB compatible motherboards)
- Thermaltake designed control hub
- Screws to mount the fans (be it on the chassis or a radiator)
- Product instruction manual including warranty information
As there are not too many cables and components, even the most novice PC builder shouldn’t be too bamboozled by what’s on offer here. If you’ve ever installed a PC fan before, then you’re already about 80% there in terms required of knowledge!
If you are new to these types of fan kits, however, Thermaltake has you covered. Within the kit, you’ll find an excellent manual that details all of the specific controls and helps you with the ‘what goes here’ factor to ensure you can get this hooked up without any issues!
HUB Controller
Thermaltake provides you with a high-quality hub controller that ensures you’ll be able to successfully hook up all of your fans and, more specifically, get them all singing off the same hymn sheet.
Offering manual RGB control (via the switches) this hub also works with the software to ensure that you can get your fans running exactly how you want them too. Put simply, hook everything up to this, turn on your PC, and then the magic starts happening.
