Thermaltake Riing Trio 12 Premium Fan Kit Review

A Closer Look
Out of the box, the Thermaltake Riing Trio 12 fans have an excellent p[resentation. You will, of course, notice their ‘riing’ design which allows for exceptionally bright and bold RGB effects. Even when the lights are not on though, the fans have a very strong aesthetic with excellent cable lengths.
The fans themselves look excellent and with the patented Thermaltake design, should provide an excellent option (or upgrade) to what your system may already have.
Controller
The Thermaltake RGB controller hub feels surprisingly well made. This is something of a surprise as often in these fan kits, the controller fan feels really cheap and nasty. Everything on this though feels solid and a little more weight than you usually see. With 8 ports on the controller, you should have no difficulty using this as the main control hub for your RGB lighting. You will also, of course, note that Thermaltake branding to the centre. It’s a small touch but speaks of a little effort going into the design.
You are, of course, given control switches so that you can determine which operate as simply a power source and which react to the input provided to the hub.
Accessories
The RGB controller accessories provide you with everything you could need. In terms of the main power/input cables, these feel nice and solid, albeit are more than flexible (and long enough) to work around any system design.
RGB Activate!
In terms of RGB lighting effects, the Thermaltake Riing Trio 12 is amazingly bright and vivid. They truly look excellent and with the plethora of control options (more on that later in the review), it’s hard to think of a better fan kit (in terms of all-around performance) currently on the market.
