The Thermaltake Toughliquid 360 ARGB Sync is available to purchase now for a price in the region of £149.99. A figure which, when compared to other 360mm AIO coolers, does have it sat around the middle of the pack or at least what you should be expecting to pay for a quality design. Admittedly, this is a perhaps little higher than many might’ve hoped from Thermaltake, but at the same time, you have to appreciate that this is effectively one of their ‘top of the line’ products. Those Toughfan’s alone cost around £20 each, and considering you get three of those in this AIO package, and not to mention just how fantastic they are, the bottom line is that this is a premium-level product with a basically mid-range price tag.
The Thermaltake Toughliquid 360 ARGB Sync looks to attempt to tick as many boxes as possible for what consumers would want from an AIO liquid cooler, and, on the whole, we think they manage to do it exceptionally well. Not only do you get the strong levels of performance you’d expect from a premium design, but you also get aesthetics that undoubtedly provide an excellent compromise between those who love ARGB lighting and those who hate it. This is clearly evident in the fact that the radiator fans are designed for performance with nary an LED, whereas the CPU block has all the, honestly impressive, razzle-dazzle.
The functionality on offer with the ARGB is also excellent as even if your motherboard isn’t sync compatible, you can still control all the lighting effects directly from the CPU block, which is a neat design that, frankly, we don’t see enough of. – No, it’s not whisper-quiet, but for a performance-focused product, you shouldn’t expect it to be. Given the solid manner in which it keeps CPU temperatures low without any fuss or drama, however, those excellent Toughfan cooling solutions still manage to keep the acoustics reasonably low while clearly placing emphasis on the far more important task of keeping your processor as happy as possible.
For as excellent as the Thermaltake Toughliquid 360 ARGB Sync is, its success will ultimately be determined by whether consumers view this as a better alternative to the more ‘mainstream’ 360mm AIO models that are perhaps more widely known and talked about. In comparative terms, the Thermaltake Toughliquid 360 ARGB Sync is honestly likely the better choice for many consumers as it contains much higher quality components and, as noted above, effectively represents a premium-level product at a highly competitive price. I think, in all honesty, though, getting this across will require people like you to read reviews like this.
So, what do we think of it? Well, in a nutshell, the Thermaltake Toughliquid 360 ARGB Sync is a top-spec product available at a mid-tier budget. And overall, you simply can’t argue with that!
