A Closer Look
The Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 1050W Power Supply looks great, with an all-white casing and black fittings such as the bade, screws and connectors.
There’s a large TT logo right in the middle, with a nice reflective font on a black background, but around that, there’s plenty of ventilation for the 120mm fan within.
at the back, there’s a decent range of connectors, with five PCIe/CPU connectors, well, six with the inclusion of the 12VHPWR, four SATA/Peripheral connectors, and the 24-pin ATX.
The sides of the PSU look great too, with a large branding sticker that looks quite nice, but also some additional ventilation.
It is the same on the other side, albeit the sticker is inverted.
At the rear of the PSU, there’s an impressive amount of ventilation too, so exhausting warm air shouldn’t be an issue. There’s also a control switch for the Smart Zero Fan, which allows a zero RPM fan at lower loads and temperatures.
On the bottom of the power supply, there’s a large sticker showing all the main specifications and ratings for the various rails.
The connectors and cables all look great, but before we get to testing, let’s open it up and take a look inside.
