Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750w Power Supply Review

Efficiency
As this is a gold-rated efficiency power supply, it does have some particularly high standards to meet in terms of how much power goes in to how much comes out.
Fortunately, in this regard, the Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 absolute breezed this test. In many aspects, this tiptoes into ‘Platinum’ territory. An even higher efficiency standard for those not familiar with how the rating system works.
In terms of a gold-rated power supply, this definitely performs on the high-end of the scale.
PFC (Power Factor Correction)
The PFC rating does start a little on the low side, but that’s not really usual for a mere 20% load in any power supply. Quite frankly, power supplies are never particularly happy when barely working. Once you start cranking up the power requirements, however, this quickly steps up to the task with some nice and impressive scores just tipping over 0.95 at 100%.
Voltage Regulation
In voltage regulation, consistency is the key and this power supply definitely has that accolade to its name. The results across all voltage rails were amazingly solid and, as you can see from the ‘perfect’ score deviancy, this doesn’t provide any concerns at all.
