That chunky-boi bulk capacitor is one of the largest I’ve seen, so it’s of little surprise that this PSU could significantly exceed the 1700W target for short periods. I tuned it up to pull 1400W and left it running for a little while and it didn’t seem to give a damn beyond spinning the fan to keep its self cool, which again, didn’t seem to be any issue.
