Ripple
Similar to the voltage regulation testing, we were entirely prepared that the Thermaltake Toughpower TF1 would provide us with some relatively excitable ripple results. Not based on the fact that this was any detraction from the power supply itself, but merely based on the fact that, as mentioned above, this PSU was really pushing the limits of what our testing equipment was capable of.
Despite those concerns, however, the results provided were excellent. Consistency achieving single-digit results for a power supply this potent is truly remarkable. Yes, there were some deviances here and there. On the whole, however, it would seem that these were more of a quirk with it working with our tester. and even it if was not, they are still well below the EU maximum of 50 and certainly seem to easily confirm Thermatake’s own feature claim of the ripple being less than 30.
