Thermaltake has just announced the official release of the TOUGHRAM XG RGB DDR4 memory. The new kit will initially come in a 16 GB (8 GB x 2) set, ranging from 3600 MHz up to a blazing fast 4600 MHz. Of course, this follows on from their current range of ToughRAM which we’ve seen over the last couple of years, and we loved those. With that in mind, I’m expecting the same premium build quality and high-end performance we’ve seen in these previous models.
Compatible with the latest AMD and Intel DDR4 motherboards, the TOUGHRAM XG RGB DDR4 16 GB (8 GB x 2) has been through rigorous tests in order to select tightly-screened ICs for high and stable performance.
The heat spreader design is similar to previous models, featuring that funky geometric pattern that looks like diamonds on the side. However, we also know it’s a heavy-duty and thick heat spreader, so it can easily keep the memory cool and maximise performance.
The TOUGHRAM XG RGB has been upgraded to 16 LEDs with a unique X-shaped light bar to control 8 lighting zones for splendid colours. Users can choose over 25 pre-set lighting modes from the TOUGHRAM software, or to synchronize it with multiple RGB software including our advanced light editing software NeonMaker to set-up timeline.
The TOUGHRAM XG continues the legacy of building a full RGB ecosystem, it can be synchronized to the TT RGB Plus software along with other enabled components. Other than that, the TOUGHRAM XG can support motherboards equipped with 5V addressable RGB header, allowing users to control lighting effects directly from the motherboard RGB software.
Also, Thermaltake revealed their new DDR4 Memory Kits, which come in 3,600Mhz in 16 GB (8 GB x2) kits. However, while they still offer up RGB thrills, it’s their stunning red and gold metallic finish that really sets them apart. They really do, truly, looks stunning!
Thermaltake TOUGHRAM XG RGB DDR4 16 GB (8 GB x 2) and TOUGHRAM RGB Metallic Gold/Racing Red 3,600 MHz 16 GB (8GBx2) Memory Kits are now available on ttpremium.com and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty for the RAMs, which is supported by the Thermaltake worldwide customer service and technical support network.
