The case looks great, right out of the box, I’m really happy I picked this one. While the stock case is great for around £50, spending the extra £20 to get three ARGB 120mm fans pre-installed is an absolute bargain and pretty much all the airflow you’re likely to need on such a compact system.
There’s a good range of filters, with a mesh front panel allowing for lots of clean airflow into the case, but also plenty of ventilation for heat to get out of the system too.
It’s pretty stylish too, and while you will obviously need a micro-ATX motherboard, the slightly more compact size makes it easier to find a space for the system. On your desktop, down the side of a small desk next to your kid’s bed, whatever, it’s compact, and that’s a big advantage, so to speak.
The build quality is nice enough, certainly better than you would think for the affordable price range. The steel looks decent and is a good thickness, so the whole thing feels robust. Given the bulk of the investment likely goes into the glass and RGB, it’s a pretty well-rounded package overall.
The interior is pretty much what I would have expected, the PSU shroud, the large routing cut-outs, and all that jazz. Really, case interiors are rarely unique these days, as this has pretty much become the standard design for a few years now. That’s no bad thing though, it looks like it’s going to be easy to work with.
While fans are pre-installed, there’s room enough to change them or to place an AIO cooler in their place, if you so desired. Overall though, it looks like airflow and cooling won’t be an issue here. The case can support up to a 155mm CPU cooler, so I doubt our low-profile UX100 will have much on an issue; I could likely stack a few of them in here. There’s room enough for up to a 350mm GPU without the front fans in the way, subtracting 25mm for the fans, you still have a lot of room in here for a big GPU.
There’s a good amount of space behind the motherboard too, so excess cables can be crammed back here easily enough. Plus, there’s a PSU shroud, so if you’re PSU isn’t too large, you’ll have a fair bit of space here too. I’m using a hard-wired Thermaltake PSU, but even then, I still had room to hide all the cables I didn’t need.
