First impressions count for a lot when it comes to a chassis, and I’ll be damned if the View 22 TG doesn’t look stunning. That luxuriously curved front panel really stands out and gives the View 22 a sweeping and fluid look. It does have one issue though, the side panel is glass, while the front is plastic. However, while that normally bothers me, Thermaltake seems to have nailed the finish here, and it blends well with the black trim on the glass and the rest of the chassis. What often cheapens the look somehow enhances it here, so well done TT!
Up top, you’ll find a couple of USB 3.0 ports and all the usual controls. It’s not the most comprehensive I/O ever, but it’s all the basics you’ll need. There’s also a full-size magnetic dust filter for the top airflow, keeping dust and debris from getting inside your lovely build.
Up top, you’ll find a huge bank of elongated screw holes, meaning you can mount fans or radiators of varying sizes in almost any location. If you need to move a cooler forwards or back to improve compatibility, then you’re going to have an easy time of it here. I’m amazed more brands don’t use this design already, rather than fixed mounting locations.
Worried about that front panel airflow? So was I, as solid plastic isn’t great for airflow, obviously. However, there’s a thick band of ventilation running the full height of the chassis on the right side.
Of course, there’s a small mesh dust filter here too, so don’t worry about dirt getting in there, and you can easily remove the panel to clean it too. Of course, a quick blast with your Vacuum nozzle will do the trick too.
Around the back, nothing major to report, with everything as you would expect. I’m happy to see they didn’t cheap out on the PCI covers though. Every cover is fully removable and reusable, ventilated, and come with a secure mounting guard too.
The PSU airflow comes from under the chassis, with a clip-in mesh filter. It’s only a cheap filter that doesn’t slide out, but it’ll get the job done just as well. Just remember to look under here every couple of months and give it a dusting. There are come more elongated screw mounts too, with thumb screws; these are for the movable and removable HDD bays under the PSU shroud.
