Thermaltake View 22 Tempered Glass Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Interior

The interior doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s certainly ticking all the right boxes. The matte black paintwork will blend into oblivion, hiding all your darker components and allowing you to focus on the view of your hardware through that huge side panel window. There’s a massive CPU cooler mounting cut-out, as well as well-placed routing holes.

Movable SSD Mounts

There’s a built-in and fixed PSU shroud too, with a pair of removable SSD mounts located on the top. These can actually be moved to the rear mounting place, or even behind the motherboard. Of course, that gives you plenty of customisation options when it comes to building your system.

In the back, you’ll find a stock 120mm exhaust fan, nothing too fancy, but it’s going to get the job done. There are no other fans on hand, but that’s no bad thing. If you already have your own fans or plan on using aftermarket ones, then why bother paying for more fans you’re not going to use anyway?

Everythings neat and tidy around the back too. As you can see, there are two mounts for SSDs on the left side. Of course, you would need to remove the SSD mounts from the PSU shroud and place them here if you so desire. There’s a modest amount of cable routing space, but the PSU shroud will pick up the bulk of the excess cable anyway. There are two HDD mounts in the base, with tool-free trays for 3.5″ or screw mounts for 2.5″ drives. However, as I said, you can move this drive bay forward or remove it if required.

Behind the front panel, more elongated screw mounts, offering up plenty of room for radiators and fans as you see fit. Overall, I’m expecting a pretty smooth installation process with this case, as everything seems view nicely laid out.
