How Much Does it Cost?

The Thermaltake View 22 TG Mid-Tower chassis is available now for a very reasonable £67.83 on Amazon. That’s not a lot of money for a chassis of this size and quality. It’s not a breathtaking deal either, as there’s a lot of competition in this part of the market right now. However, if you love the design, the View 22 is rather unique looking.

Overview

Thermaltake did a lot right with their latest chassis, and honestly, I don’t think they made a single mistake with this one either. I mean, I could clutch at straws with a few minor gripes. Such as the plastic on the front panel, because everyone loves glass. However, it looks and feels fantastic, so no issues there. There are four places to mount the SSD brackets, but only two brackets, again no big deal. Uhm, what else? Nope, I think we’re good.

Design

I can think of dozens of chassis that follow this formula. In fact maybe more, because if you strip away that front panel, I think I’ve reviewed a lot of cases just like this one. That’s no bad thing though, good ideas are copied and evolved and there’s a reason many modern PCs have tempered glass on the side, a PSU shroud, and better radiators support. Of course, it’s because that’s what consumers want! However, Thermaltake has done well to put their own spin on it. The curvy front panel looks amazing, there’s a good range of air filters where you need them, movable HDD bays, and good cable routing. Again, they’re not reinventing the market, but they’re doing everything right.

Value for Money

The price is pretty much spot on for the market right now. It’s not so expensive that you couldn’t reasonably justify it as an upgrade or for a new build. It’s also not so cheap you think it would be a cheaper product. The build quality is spot on here. The metal panels are thick and feel robust, the PCI covers are not those cheap snap-off ones, and the glass and plastics are of a very good quality. There’s only one fan installed, but if you’re adding an AIO and a couple of RGB fans of your own, I doubt that’s an issue for most.

Should I Buy One?

It doesn’t matter if you’re building a non-RGB lit professional looking work PC for your office, the View 22 TG will look stunning next to your desk. However, if you wanted to go full-RGB, with multiple GPUs, full custom-loop water cooling, and a couple of radiators, the View 22 TG is still perfect for the job. Capable, well made, stylish, and fairly priced; what’s not to love!
