Thermaltake View 270 TG ARGB Mid Tower PC Case Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The Thermaltake View 270 TG ARGB mid-tower PC case is available now from Scan.co.uk, with a choice of four colours. There’s the black, blue, white and green version, all of which are priced at just £69.98. Honestly, that’s a fantastic price for a case of this quality, but at the same time, it’s a bit cheaper than a lot of rival products, and the price is lower with it being a more compact mid-tower design, so the overall material cost is a bit lower anyway. They’re all available at Scan.co.uk here.

Overview

Thermaltake has a lot of great cases on the market right now, and while the View 270 TG ARGB is one of their smaller mid-tower designs, if you do need something a bit bigger for support of larger liquid coolers, more storage, etc, they obviously have products that would fit your needs. However, if you’re looking for a reasonably compact mid-tower that’s not going to take up too much real estate around your desk, the View 270 TG ARGB a surprisingly capable.

There’s room for any of the largest graphics cards here, so for gamers, there’s no compromise for those who want the biggest and most powerful gaming hardware. With room for a 360mm AIO or up to a 180mm air cooler, getting the best performance from your CPU of choice should be relatively easy. Plus, you can fit a good size ATX modular PSU, and even expand that and get more cable routing space by removing the HDD cage under the shroud, should you have no need for it.

The case is designed for ATX motherboards, but it will squeeze in E-ATX motherboards should you need them, but honestly, I think if I was going for E-ATX, I’d want a slightly larger PC case overall to avoid compromising the cable routing options, such as the Thermaltake Ceres 300 (£98.40).

Despite the lack of front mounted fans, cooling support is pretty decent too, with room to mount three 120mm fans on the ventilated PSU shroud, two on the right side of the case, one in the rear, and three more on the top, allowing you to maximise airflow with minimal effort. Of course, the case only comes with a single fan pre-installed, but I think that’s fairly reflected in the affordable price of the case.

Should I Buy One?

The Thermaltake View 270 TG ARGB has a few keys features, it’s pretty compact, so if you’re short on space on or around your desk, it’s going to be a great case for getting high-end hardware into a reasonable amount of space. It features dual tempered glass windows with a pillarless design, so it’s certainly built to appeal to those who want to both see their hardware, and show it off to others. However, the key feature here I think is the price, it’s one of the most affordable big-brand cases in its class and with the great design, excellent build quality, unique colours, and the overall features on offer, I think it’s going to prove a big hit for Thermaltake.
