Thermaltake View 71 TG Full-Tower Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Thermaltake View 71 Tempered Glass Edition full tower chassis is available now from most major retailers. it’s available now on Amazon for £174.48, which is obviously a lot of money, but this I’m of glass does not come cheap. This is a huge chassis with support for a lot of high-end and extreme, so if that in mind I think it’s priced fairly to reflect its capabilities.

Overview

I’ve seen many unique, crazy, even bonkers chassis designs over the years here eTeknix. The latest from Thermaltake feels like it has a little bit of each of those qualities. However, it still manages to remain a little bit more grown up a mature than I was expecting. It’s a smart enough design, but I feel it would look really nice in the office, and my own office at that. However, if you are building an extreme gaming rig, heavily modded system, crazy custom loop cooling configuration, or something of a similar ilk, you could easily make it as outlandish as you desire.

Packed with Features

The chassis doesn’t really offer anything in the way of innovation, but then again it doesn’t really have to. It’s not the first door hinge tempered glass windows chassis, nor is it the first chassis in the world to have RGB fans, suspended hard drive bays, and such extensive water cooling support. You get a general idea, but it is nice to see all these features together in one place. It gives you all the tools you need for a comprehensive system build.

Built Quality

The build quality is superb, with chunky and durable materials used throughout. Everything fits as it is supposed to and looks professionally finished. All the layout of the main components are well spaced. This will allow for creative freedom in terms of layout, radiator configurations, and more. Of course, you can even mount your GPU horizontally or vertically.

Should I Buy One?

It doesn’t come cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for. Given the type of system, it’s designed to house, it’s likely to be the cheapest component of the system build. With so much glass, this is pretty much the PC chassis equivalent of a display case. From a sleek looking workstation to a disco frenzy RGB rainbow puking monster. The View 71 TG will fit the bill!
