Thermaltake View 71 TG Snow Edition Case Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The standard black Thermaltake View 71 TG is currently around £179.99 down from £201.18. The Snow Edition is currently listed at £184.90, so not that much more for the white one. It’s also around $174-192 in the US. That’s a lot of money, I know. However, it’s designed to hold a system worth thousands, and you’re paying for a huge amount of materials too. You’ll struggle to find something of this size and quality for less, that’s for sure.

Overview

There are a fair few full-tower tempered glass PC cases to choose from these days. Corsair, Lian Li, Ainidees, Raijintek and many others all have something to offer. when you’re spending around £200, I must admit that rival products are pretty damn good too. Which one is best? That’s really down to your personal taste. However, I think the View 71 TG Snow Edition can hold its own against anything Thermaltakes rivals have to offer.

Build Quality

It may be mostly glass, but it’s pretty damn robust. The internal structure is very strong indeed. Of course, to hold the weight of all that thick glass alone, it would have to be. Add in a bunch of 420mm radiators, all that fluid, your GPU blocks… you get the idea. It’s heavy on its own, but it’ll take a lot more weight with confidence.

The only downside is that if you live in a dusty area, keeping it clean could be a hassle. That being said, it’s easy to open up and maintain too, so it’s a pro and a con scenario.

RGB and Beyond

You don’t get a lot of extras with this one. There are only two fans included and no RGB hub like you may find on some rival products. However, it’s more of a mod-friendly blank slate. It’s likely you have your own fans, radiators, fittings, hubs and other components already in mind for a build on this scale. It won’t be cheap, but who buys a £200 case for a £200 PC… No one I know, that’s for sure.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re looking to show off your building skills and sexy new hardware, the Thermaltake View 71 TG Snow Edition is going to be epic. It’s big, it’s heavy, and it’s expensive, but if that’s what you need, it more than fits the bill, and looks sexy from every angle.
