Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme Liquid CPU Cooler Review

The included software allows you to monitor and control your Water 2.0 Extreme liquid CPU cooler. The first page allows you to monitor temperature, sound, pump speed and fan speeds. You can pick between pre-set silent and extreme profiles or you can make your own custom profile in the fan control tab.
The graphs tab is an extension of the monitoring function that allows you to track the change of the liquid and the fans over time.
Using the fan control tab you can set the parameters for changing the fan speeds as part of the custom fan speed profiles. I think the way the software has been developed is flawed. You should be able to create your own profile by entering fan speeds you want and the CPU temperatures that trigger those changes. Instead you have a very limited array of options that only allow you to control when the fan speed ramps up, and it uses liquid temperature not CPU temperature which isn’t as intuitive as it should be. The fact the fans start at 1200RPM is frustrating because 1200RPM isn’t exactly silent.
I personally found it easier to just plug the fans into the motherboard CPU headers and use ASUS Fan Xpert to adjust fan controls.
The settings tab allows you to customise your fan control software and make it suit your needs better.
