Thermaltake Water 3.0 ARGB Sync 360 AIO Review

Performance

Despite all the RGB lighting, which is clearly a major feature in this cooler, the Thermaltake Water 3.0 360 does still have a very important job to do. Namely, ensuring that it can keep your processor nice and cool while (hopefully) keeping the noise levels to a minimum.

Starting with the temperatures, at stock levels, the cooler performs very well. Finding itself in our testing top-10 is a clear indication as to how well this manages the ‘day-to-day’ work of keeping the processor cool without any difficulties what-so-ever. It is, however, when overclocked that this cooler really starts to shine. Taking the 2nd spot in our charts, the Thermaltake Water 3.0 360 finds itself as an excellent performer when overclocking is an applied factor. Keeping a temperature of 56c is exceptionally impressive and a clear indicator that this cooler doesn’t mind when you ask it to work hard! In addition, that the light show is not an intended direction from the performance.

You might, at this point, be wondering if noise levels are a weak link in the armour. The results, however, clearly show that this isn’t the case. While it is not a ‘silent’ operator, the noise levels are still very good. This is a particular highlight for the overclocked performance which, despite its excellent temperature control, didn’t need to ramp up the fan speeds (and by proxy, noise) to keep things under control.

Put simply, the Water 3.0 360 performed excellently in our testing which is exactly what we would expect from a Thermaltake product.
