Price

Retailing for a price in the region of £150, the Thermaltake Water 3.0 360 is certainly not a cheap cooler. Even by 360 AIO liquid cooler terms, this is on the higher end of the price scale. When you do, however, consider the performance and extensive RGB lighting effects, the cost is not just easily explained, it’s (arguably) entirely justified.

Our only fear is that the price point may just be a little too high for the casual consumer. Then again, such things are a fact of a high-end product like this.

Design and Ease Of Use

The design of this cooler speaks throughout of a quality product. Yes, when the lights are off this isn’t necessarily carrying any particular aesthetic features that really make it stand out. When the lights are on, however, (and you actually put this to work), it’s a highly-impressive package. Yes, RGB lighting isn’t for everyone. The huge array of customising options you are given here, however, should suit practically everyone. It’s honestly hard to find any fault.

A particular highlight must go to the way that Thermaltake has designed this cooler to be as easy to install and operate as possible. I really liked the simple (but unique) design of how the pump head mounting clip is attached and, additionally, the manner in which the fans can ‘daisy chain’ to help you keep the cabling under control.

As intimidating as a 360 AIO liquid cooler might be to someone not experienced, Thermaltake really tries (and succeeds) in making this as simple and straight forward as possible.

Overview

At the beginning of the review, we indicated that while Thermaltake might be a new brand, they’re one that’s clearly working hard to make a big impact on the market. The Thermaltake Water 3.0 360 is certainly no exception to this rule. This is yet another quality product that should really help enhance their brand’s reputation. The simple fact that we found nothing to criticise with the design or performance should be a clear indicator of that. This is, put simply, an excellent cooler.

Taking the product as a whole, this is (perhaps) Thermaltake’s biggest swing at the cooling fences we’ve seen so far. In terms of what the product offers, however, we think that they have hugely succeeded here. It is, undoubtedly, and however you look at it, certainly their best cooler design to date.
