Test Setup
We decided to compare this cooler with another big hitter in the £30-40 category, the Alpenfohn Matterhorn. We will be testing at stock CPU frequencies and overclocked CPU frequencies of 4.6GHz which takes the CPU up to a maximum of 1.34V to really put the coolers through their paces.
Test system:
- MSI P67A-GD65
- Intel Core i7 2600K
- 4GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz
- XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB
- Corsair TX650
- NZXT M59 with 5 case fans
Comparison used:
- Alpenfohn Matterhorn CPU Cooler
- Overclocked to 4.6GHz (1.34V maximum)
