ThermoLab Trinity Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler Review

Stock CPU TemperaturesMeasuring temperatures is all about being consitent, therefore we keep a steady eye on monitoring the ambient room temperature to make sure that it stays the same. While this is constantly being monitored, we measure the idle temperature of the system using HWMonitor over a 15 minute period. Once this has been recorded, we load the system using various software for 15 minutes and record the results again.
The Trinity takes an assertive lead in both idle and load tests when compared to the Matterhorn. A whole 4 degrees Celsius lower when under load is nothing to be sniffed at. The reason behind the Trinity’s better idle temperatures may be due to the fact that it’s fan was hitting significantly higher speeds than the Matterhorn’s fan. This increase in speed obviously affected the noise output of the Trinity and we wouldn’t want it to be as loud as it was during testing when being used daily.
