Rockstar may have pushed GTA V way past its life expectancy, but there’s life in the old dog yet! A brand new update has just been released for GTA V on all platforms, and interestingly, it seems some of the Enhanced Edition files have been added to the PC version.
Of course, it’s a little more complicated than that, as while the files are there, they’re effectively inactive. For whatever reason, they can’t be forced on or even datamined it seems. While Rockstar hasn’t confirmed that this version will be coming to PC, it does seem pretty much inevitable and everyone is still waiting for some information on what this summers big yearly update will include, so this is a fairly safe place to start guessing.
GTA V Enhanced Edition
While this all buy confirms GTA V Enhanced Edition coming to PC, it’s unclear at this time if it’ll be a paid DLC or update. It’s Rockstar though, so likely there will be some charge included somewhere along the line.
The patch mostly addressed solo lobby related issues, and some UI fixes, as well as the usual crash preventing bug fixes, it also saw some minor gameplay optimisations too. Really, nothing out of the ordinary for a regular update. There’s no real reason to add the new files to the PC version beyond that, so it does very much feel like a patch that’s preparing for a larger update.
The April 26th Patch is out now, clocks in at 1GB in size on PC, and you simply have to load the Rockstar launcher and let the game automatically update the next time you play. Please note, that only the console changelog has been revealed at this time, which you can see below.
