Classic coin-op grappler WWE WrestleFest has been given a fresh lick of paint by publisher THQ.
A remake of the 1991 2D WWF WrestleFest arcader slams into the App Store today, priced at £1.99 (standard) or £2.49 (HD). It’s got new visuals, a contemporary fighter roster, multiplayer, downloadable content and Road to WrestleMania progression play.
THQ games boss Danny Bilson said the following:
“WWE WrestleFest greatly complements our WWE videogames portfolio by delivering a unique and captivating way for fans to connect with the virtual WWE experience, The game’s arcade-style play, combined with present day WWE content and hints of nostalgia, is a perfect fit for handheld platforms like the iPhone and iPad.”
