Three More Titles Added to Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Microsoft is moving forward with their last gen plans and have this week added 3 more titles to the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. This comes just a month after their last batch of games was made available to play on the Xbox One.
The games they have added in the last week are as follows;
- Alice: Madness Returns
- Rocket Knight
- Shadows of the Damned
Just as we reported last month, this new list of games is hardly going to get the vast majority of people overly excited, and there will be many Xbox One owners with plenty of good Xbox 360 games they’d love to be able to play, without having to set up their old console every time.
However, this continually growing list will at least give Xbox owners piece of mind that they are at least working on the list, and will have their fingers crossed that some of the major games make it onto the list sometime in 2017.
Microsoft isn’t totally to blame for this, this is more about the original publishers and when they want their games to become part of the program. If this is the case, the publishers may want to take note of potential loss of sales.
As for the Xbox Games with Gold for Feb, they are as follows.
- Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime: Available from February 1-28 on Xbox One
- Project Cars Digital Edition: Available from February 16-March 15 on Xbox One
- Monkey Island 2: Special Edition: Available from February 1-15 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Available from February 16-28 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One
It’s likely these games will gain more attention and excitement than the backwards compatible list, with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed likely to be the most popular due to the recent success of Rogue One.
What games would you like to see added to the compatibility list? Do you blame the publishers or Microsoft for the slow and somewhat lacklustre offerings?
