The first thing that you notice about this controller, at least in my opinion, is that it looks absolutely fantastic. Styled to look like the nose cone of an F1 car the wings on the controller are elongated and provide a great level of grip and comfort, with long throw high set analogue sticks, a 8 point D-Pad, which also features a set of what look like Micky Mouse ears around it (more on those in a moment), a set of four basic face buttons, as well as 5 central buttons for mode, map, set, select and start.
The Micky Mouse ears as I like to call them around the D-Pad are in fact a 2nd steering device, which slides around on a spring 90 degrees clockwise and anti-clockwise, allowing you a unique way of controller your game, after pressing the “mode” button on the controller this dial becomes the left analogue stick, allowing for only left and right input to the steering.
Around the back we have our R1 and L1 buttons, bellow which you will find a pair of full analogue spring loaded trigger, whith the power on/off switch between those.
The underside of the controller features out last few buttons, the R2 and L2 buttons, a very different location to where you would generally find these on a Ps3 controller, but more buttons the merrier. Above those you can also see the battery compartment, which plays home to 2 x AAA batteries (not included).
