Thrustmaster Ferrari PC Analogue Controller Review

Overall then I’m happy with what Thrustmaster have done with this controller, while it’s nothing groundbreaking in terms of performance, it was never really intended to be groundbreaking, but it does manage to hold its own across the tests I performed on it today, sure the lack of analogue triggers is going to be an issue for some people, and a glaring omission from a racing branded controller IMO, but I’ll let it slide as with a market price of around £25 its a low-mid price range controller, generally a price range that targets the casual gamer or the market for extra and spare control pads.

Looking at some of the competition in this price range this controller has a major win on style and build quality over other brands, while it maintains many of the key features of similar controllers the red and white Ferrari detailing certainly makes this one stand out in a sea of grey and black controllers.

All the major features are here on this controller and for those that love that added Ferrari style and charm, it will be a great little collection piece for those who are into the branding side of things.

While the analogue sticks are a little odd with their smooth finish, it’s not exactly a deal breaker, if you like them or not really boils down to a matter of preference, I’m a little unsure about the way they feel under the thumb, but likely because I’m used to the tough grip rubber found on a standard xbox and ps3 controller. So If you’re in need of a new controller and you’re looking for a budget friendly deal for pc then this should fulfil your needs nicely, which is why I’m awarding the Thrustmaster Dual Analog our Bang for Buck award, as it ticks all the right boxes in terms of affordability, performance and build quality, sure there may be better controllers out there, but when this is nearly half the price its certainly a tempting option.
