A Closer Look – Flight Stick
As for the stick and throttle, they come weathered by a cable, allowing you to space them out wider on your desk for a more natural resting position. However, they can be fixed into a single unit, as I’ll demonstrate shortly.
The flight stick is a design we’ve seen from Thrustmaster before, and it’s an all-in-one design that will suit everything from simulating light aircraft, to playing with weaponised spacecraft.
On the rear, you’ll find a trigger, which is always fun to have, and the B1 button which is easily reachable with your thumb.
This is Windows and Xbox compatible, so you’ll be glad to see these buttons included.
Down the side, there are two screws and a clip, which are used to join the stick to the throttle unit.
On the underside, you’ll find two screw holes, allowing you to use various mounts or standards to join it to your desk, a frame, a chair, etc.
A simply resistance wheel, allowing you to adjust the feel of the main stick.
A handy tool is included to tighten those screws on the side too.
Finally, around the back, there’s a simple device mode switch and the port for connecting the rudder.
