A Closer Look – Throttle
The throttle looks great, with a large handle that makes for a very comfortable and relaxing grip for your left hand. There’s a range of buttons on the right side, which are all easily reachable with your thumb.
Plus some additional controls down here, that are perfect for mapping more uncommon features on larger aircraft.
As you can see, there’s quite a large range of movement in the throttle. Pull back for minimum, or push it all the way forwards for maximum. It’ll stay at any angle you leave it at too, it doesn’t return to centre on its own, but there is a notch at mid so you can return it there manually.
There’s a lot going on back here two, with two buttons, and an analogue paddle. This can be used to control flaps or rudder just like the pedals.
The pedals are optional, so if you buy the stick without them, you still have all the controls you’ll need.
