Thrustmaster T.Racing Scuderia Ferrari Edition-DTS Gaming Headset Review

A Closer Look
Well, there’s no doubt about it, this is a Ferrari licenced headset! It really has a very striking design and features that stunning Rosso Corsa colour that’s become synonymous with Ferrari. Of course, it’s made from a red plastic here, but it’s a good match.
As I said before, the headset is hard-wired, and you’ll find a durable cable mount on the bottom of one of the ear cups. There’s also some incredibly thick ear cup padding, which is like the noise-isolation design they would on the real-world pit team headsets, but likely not as extreme.
The ear cups offer up some rotation too, here you can see them angled outwards.
Here you can see them angled inwards. It’s not much, but it’s enough to ensure a clean fit around your ears, as everyone’s head shape is a little different.
The ear cup padding is a thick block of memory foam, ensuring exceptional comfort and noise isolation.
It’s what I would call a medium-soft design, not too soft or too hard really.
What’s important though is that the contact with your skin is a softer cloth, while the inner and outer sidewalls are PU leather, giving you the best of both worlds.
The ear cups are closed back, so that’ll also help to lock in the sound and should also help tighten up the low-end frequencies. I actually love the shine on the red too, it’s a little reflective but it really pops, and the prancing horse always looks great.
