Remember the classic game TimeSplitters? It was an absolutely fantastic game back in the days of the PlayStation 2! Now Cinder Interactive Arts has revealed their new (incredibly vague) teaser trailer for their upcoming remake of this classic shooter.
The game is being made in the mighty CryEngine, and while the developers actually have the original assets for the game, they’re not just buffing them up and throwing them in, but using them as their concept artwork and building new assets that better meet modern standards; I’m hoping that means 4K textures, it most likely does.
TimeSplitter Rewind is a standalone multiplayer game, and while details are still extremely vague, anyone familiar with the series should have some pretty high hopes that they’ll recapture the magic of the original game. No word on format for the release either, although it’s pretty clear that PC is the primary platform so far.
The game is set for release in 2018, and you can follow its progress on the official site here.
