New Demo for Titanic: Honor and Glory Now Available—Adds VR Support
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
The third demo for Four Funnel Entertainment’s Titanic: Honor and Glory is now available for download. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and is quite the stunning recreation of the doomed vessel. Players can experience what being on board is like without having to slog through the Leo DiCaprio/Kate Winslet love story. More importantly, players can experience it in their own pace. Titanic is lovingly recreated complete with passenger and crew interaction as if it is still 1912.
The game also lets players explore almost every nook and cranny of the ship, even experience its last moments. Since the game is still in development, some areas are not explorable yet, even in the latest demo.
Now with VR Support
The latest update adds perhaps the best addition yet: VR support for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR. Motion or touch controllers are required however and going from area to area is possible via teleportation only (for now).
System Requirements
Four Funnel Entertainment has a system requirements list but insists that it is not a strict guideline. It is simply an approximation for now on what is the requirement for running the demo based on the developer’s system:
- Windows 7, 8, or 10 (May work on Vista or XP)
- 2Ghz to 4Ghz CPU or better
- 8GB to 16GB RAM or more
- 2GB or 4GB GPU or better
- At least 5GB of free HD space for Demo 1, 10GB for Demo 2, or 15GB for Demo 3
- Demo 3 VR requires an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift with Touch motion controller
- Demo 3 VR requires the highest listed here or higher specs for best performance
