A Closer Look and Performance

Clocking in no bigger than a can of 330ml soft drink can, the Lift Qi is compact and portable enough to sit on your desktop. Of course, they say you can use it anywhere, so pop it in the kitchen, bedroom, even the car, and it’ll do what it does best; clean the air!

One thing we really love is that they took the time to put our logo on there. It says eTeknix.com, and that’s awesome, as it looks and feels right at home in the office now.

The design is pretty simple, with just a Micro-USB port on the back to provide power. Annoyingly, there isn’t a power button, speed controls, sleep timer, nothing. However, when you want to use it, just connect a USB cable and it’ll start up automatically. When you’re done or need to turn it off for any reason, just remove the USB cable. It’s pretty simple, but perhaps a power control would have felt a little sleeker.

Compact Design

The unit is made of plastic and it’s pretty lightweight too. However, the build quality is still pretty great. It’s compact, and the finish is still something you would happily have on display in your home or office.

The Luft Qi draws air in from the 360-degree ventilation towards the base of the unit, pulling that air through its UV reactor and blows the cleaned air out the top mesh. It’s quite powerful too, and you can feel it blowing the air out the top. Despite the good airflow, it’s pretty quiet. It has a soft fan humming noise to it, but at around 25 dBa up close, it’s hardly annoying. It may be distracting if it’s next to your bedside, but in the office, we don’t really notice it on a shelf about 8 feet away.

Place Anywhere

You really can place it just about anywhere, and with the compact size, it’s far from imposing. Don’t worry if this colour scheme isn’t to your liking either, as they make a few combinations to suit your taste.

When powered on, you can see a blue light on the interior. However, they advise you don’t sit there with your eye to it to see, as the UV reactor likely isn’t great for your eyeballs, but isn’t likely to cause harm otherwise. Other than that, there’s no maintenance needed either, and having no filters means no added cost in the future, it just works 24/7.
