Titus & Wayne Luft Qi Air Purifier Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The Lift Qi filterless air purifier is on Indeigogo, and at the time of writing it had 18 days left and had raised 822% of its required $25,000 goal. The product is already ready to rock, the crowdfunding just seems to be a promotional and marketing tool to get it to a wider market. Of course, that’s worked very well. The Early Bird special was offering them for $99 each, handmade wooden designed ones for $149, two packs for $179. That’s not “cheap” but again, it’s more compact and quieter than most air purifiers and requires no additional filters or costs thereafter.

Check out the Indiegogo page here.

Overview

I’m not a scientist or a health expert, nor have I got any previous experience with the effects of using an air purifier in my own home. However, the Luft Qi seems to do exactly what it says it should. I can’t saw the air in here is any worse, but it feels fresher, and even smells better. Could that be a placebo effect or some other outside factor? Absolutely, but I have no reason to doubt the technology or testing done by Titus & Wayne, or the findings of other reviewers.

Cleaner Air

If you suffer from allergies, live in a dusty area, have pets, etc, the Luft Qi is certainly an appealing product. While I’m sure many people in those situations may already use an air purifier, the design of this one certainly has some advantages. Firstly, rather than trapping odours and pollutants, it destroys them. This means there’s no need to change dirty filters or replace expensive filters periodically. Just plug it in, leave it to do its job, and everybody wins.

Where Do I Put It?

Again, it’s super compact and lightweight. It’ll sit in a cupholder in the car, in your child’s bedroom, on your desk, anywhere really. The fact it runs from USB means you can power it from a USB hub, plug, your computer, or anything else that has a USB output. Just plug it in and it works. Again, I do wish it had a power switch, but other than that, we can’t complain.

Should I Buy One?

The only downside, at least to my eyes, is that $140+ on a tiny air filter seems like a lot of money. However, if you have health issues, or any other reason to want to keep your work and living spaces air cleaner, I mean, who wouldn’t want that anyway, then it’s a great product. No mess, no fuss, no filters, super compact and quiet. I mean, that’s about the best you could hope for from an air purifier.
